Classic Car Wholesalers
Last updated: 1 August 2026
This page covers two things. Part A sets out the terms on which we sell and finance vehicles and on which you may use this website. Part B explains what we do with your personal information. Please read both before you submit an application.
Part A: Terms and Conditions
1. Who we are
This website at classiccarwholesalers.co.za is owned and operated by Classic Car Wholesalers, a business registered in the Republic of South Africa.
Our registered details, physical address, telephone number and email address are published on our Contact Us page, and they form part of these terms. That page is also where you should send anything you need to put to us in writing.
Where these terms say “we”, “us” or “our”, we mean Classic Car Wholesalers. Where they say “you” or “your”, we mean the person using this website or submitting an application through it.
2. Agreeing to these terms
By browsing this website, submitting the application form on our vehicle pages, or ticking the confirmation box on that form, you agree to be bound by these terms and by the Privacy Policy in Part B. If you do not agree with any part of them, please do not use the site or submit an application.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding agreement in South Africa. If you are submitting information on behalf of somebody else, you confirm that you have their permission to do so.
3. What we actually do
We are a vehicle sales and finance facilitation business. We market vehicles, take applications, and work with credit providers, lenders and funding partners to put together finance or Rent to Own arrangements for approved applicants.
Two points matter here and we want to be plain about them.
First, submitting an application does not mean you have been approved for anything. It is an enquiry. Nothing on this website is an offer of credit, and nothing here creates a binding agreement to sell or finance a vehicle for you.
Second, the marketing material on this site is not the agreement. If your application is successful, you will receive a separate written agreement setting out the vehicle, the price, the instalment, the term, all fees and interest, your rights and your obligations. That signed agreement is the one that governs the transaction. If anything in it conflicts with what you read on this website, the signed agreement wins.
4. The vehicle we are currently advertising
At the time of writing, the vehicle advertised on this site is the 2026 LDV T60 Elite 4×2 Double Cab Automatic.
Specifications, colours, trim, images, availability and pricing are given in good faith and are subject to change without notice. The images on the site are illustrative. The vehicle you receive may differ in small respects from the photographs shown, for example in colour, trim detail or optional extras.
Stock is limited and offered on a first come, first served basis, subject to availability from our suppliers. We cannot guarantee that a particular unit will still be available by the time your application is processed.
If a price, specification or promotional claim appears on this site as the result of an obvious error, we are entitled to correct it and we are not bound to supply the vehicle on the mistaken terms. Where you have already paid on the strength of an error, we will either refund you in full or offer you the corrected terms, and the choice will be yours.
5. Applying
The application form asks for your name, cellphone number, work number where you have one, email address, South African identity number, gross salary before deductions, province, whether you hold a valid South African driving licence, and whether you are blacklisted.
When you submit that form you confirm that everything you have given us is true, accurate and complete, and that you will tell us if anything material changes before the agreement is concluded. Giving us false or misleading information may result in your application being declined, and in an existing agreement being cancelled. It may also constitute fraud.
All applications are subject to credit approval, to the criteria of the relevant lender or credit provider, and to an affordability assessment carried out in accordance with the National Credit Act 34 of 2005. We may decline any application, and we are not obliged to give reasons beyond those required of us by law. Where an application is declined by a registered credit provider on the basis of information from a credit bureau, you are entitled to be told which bureau was used.
By applying, you authorise us and our finance partners to verify the information you have provided, to conduct credit bureau and affordability checks, and to share your information for those purposes. Section 8 of the Privacy Policy sets out exactly who receives it.
6. Deposits, instalments, fees and pricing
Where we advertise that no deposit is required, that refers to the deposit component only. It does not mean the vehicle is free of other upfront or ongoing costs. Depending on the arrangement you are approved for, you may still be responsible for some or all of the following:
- monthly instalments
- an initiation fee
- a monthly service fee
- interest at the rate disclosed in your agreement
- comprehensive insurance premiums
- vehicle licensing and registration costs
- tracking device fees where the funder requires one
- delivery charges outside our standard delivery area
- excess mileage charges
- fuel, tyres, servicing and consumables
Every fee that applies to you will be disclosed in writing in your pre agreement statement and quotation before you sign anything. That is a requirement of the National Credit Act and we take it seriously. If a cost has not been disclosed to you in writing, do not assume it applies, and please ask us.
All prices shown on this website are in South African Rand and include VAT unless we say otherwise.
7. Rent to Own and who owns the vehicle
Our Rent to Own arrangements work differently from a straightforward purchase, and it is worth being clear about the difference.
Under a Rent to Own agreement, you have the use of the vehicle for the term of the agreement, but ownership stays with us or with the funder until every payment due under the agreement has been made in full. Only then does title pass to you, and only if the agreement provides for it to pass at all.
For the duration of the agreement you may not sell, pledge, sublet, lend, modify or in any way encumber the vehicle without our written consent. You may not take it outside the borders of South Africa without our written consent. You must keep it in good condition, fair wear and tear excepted, and you must have it serviced according to the manufacturer’s schedule at an approved service centre.
The exact terms, including the term length, the instalment, the mileage allowance and what happens at the end of the term, will be set out in your signed agreement.
8. Mileage limits and insurance
Our advertising asks you to contact us about mileage limits and insurance cover, and there is a reason for that. Both vary by package.
Mileage. Most of our arrangements carry an annual mileage allowance. If you exceed it, an excess charge applies per kilometre at the rate stated in your agreement. Your allowance and your excess rate will be in writing before you sign.
Insurance. Comprehensive insurance is compulsory for the full duration of the agreement. The vehicle must be insured for its full retail value with an insurer registered in South Africa, and our interest or the funder’s interest must be noted on the policy. You must give us proof of cover on request.
If your policy lapses, is cancelled, or falls into arrears, you must tell us immediately. Where cover lapses we may take out insurance on the vehicle ourselves and recover the premium from you, and a lapse may also place you in breach of the agreement.
You remain responsible for the insurance excess on any claim, and for any loss the insurer does not cover.
9. Delivery
We deliver anywhere in South Africa. Delivery timeframes given on this site or by our staff are estimates made in good faith and not guarantees. Delays caused by supplier stock, registration and licensing processes, transport, weather or events outside our reasonable control do happen, and we will keep you informed if one affects you.
Delivery takes place once the agreement is signed, the vehicle is registered and licensed, insurance is in place, and any amount due upfront has cleared.
On delivery you or your authorised representative must inspect the vehicle and sign a delivery acceptance note. Please do this properly rather than as a formality. Visible damage or missing items should be noted on that document at the time of delivery. Risk in the vehicle passes to you on delivery, even though ownership may not.
Somebody over 18 must be present to accept delivery and to produce a valid South African driving licence and identity document.
10. Warranties and defects
The vehicle is covered by the manufacturer’s warranty as supplied by the importer or distributor of the LDV brand in South Africa, on the terms and for the period that they set. Warranty claims are dealt with through approved dealers and service centres. The manufacturer’s warranty terms will be given to you with the vehicle.
Your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 are not affected by anything in these terms. Section 56 of that Act gives you an implied warranty of quality on new goods for six months from delivery, and where that warranty applies you may return the vehicle for repair, replacement or refund, with the choice being yours. Nothing here limits that right.
The warranty will not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, accident, racing, overloading, unauthorised modification, failure to service the vehicle as required, or use of the vehicle for a purpose it was not designed for.
11. Cooling off
Two separate cooling off rights may apply to you, and they are not the same thing.
Electronic transactions. Section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 gives consumers who buy goods electronically the right to cancel within seven days of receiving the goods, without reason or penalty. Certain transactions are excluded from this right. Where it applies to you, you must return the vehicle in the condition you received it, and you carry the direct cost of returning it.
Direct marketing. Section 16 of the Consumer Protection Act gives you five business days to cancel an agreement concluded as a result of direct marketing, counted from the date the agreement was concluded or the goods were delivered, whichever is later.
Credit agreements. Please note that the National Credit Act does not give a general cooling off right on instalment sale agreements or leases of motor vehicles. Section 121 of that Act applies only to agreements concluded away from the credit provider’s registered business premises. Your right to settle early under section 125, and to terminate under section 127, remain available to you regardless.
If you want to exercise any of these rights, contact us in writing as soon as possible and we will tell you exactly what applies to your specific agreement.
12. If you fall behind
If you miss payments or breach the agreement in another material way, we or the funder may take the steps set out in the National Credit Act. In summary, and subject to the detail of your agreement:
We must send you a notice under section 129 of the Act before taking legal steps. That notice will set out what is owed and will propose that you refer the matter to a debt counsellor, an alternative dispute resolution agent, the consumer court or an ombud with jurisdiction, so that a plan can be agreed to bring the account up to date.
Only after that notice, and only in accordance with the Act, may enforcement or repossession follow. Repossession requires a court order or your written surrender of the vehicle. Nobody may simply take the vehicle from you without following the law, and if anyone tells you otherwise you should get advice.
If the vehicle is repossessed and sold, you will receive a statement showing what it sold for and how the proceeds were applied. Any shortfall remains payable by you. Any surplus is yours.
You may also apply for debt review under section 86 of the Act at any time before enforcement steps begin.
13. Using this website
You may use this website for lawful purposes connected with buying or financing a vehicle from us. You may not use it to submit false information, to interfere with its operation, to attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of it, to scrape or harvest data from it, or to upload anything malicious.
All content on this site, including text, images, logos, layout and design, belongs to us or to our licensors and is protected by copyright and trade mark law. You may not copy, reproduce, republish or distribute it without our written permission. Vehicle manufacturer names, model names and logos belong to their respective owners and appear here for identification purposes only.
We try to keep the site accurate and current, but we do not guarantee that it will be error free or uninterrupted. Links to other websites are provided for convenience and we are not responsible for their content.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, and without limiting any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act or the National Credit Act:
We are not liable for indirect, special or consequential loss, including loss of profit, loss of income, loss of business opportunity or loss of data, arising from your use of this website or from any delay in delivering a vehicle.
We are not liable for loss arising from information you gave us that was inaccurate or incomplete, from your failure to maintain insurance, or from your use of the vehicle in breach of the agreement.
We are not liable for failure to perform where the cause is beyond our reasonable control, including supplier failure, industrial action, load shedding, natural disaster, civil unrest, or government action.
Nothing in this clause excludes liability for gross negligence, fraud, or anything else that may not lawfully be excluded.
15. Complaints and disputes
Please raise anything that has gone wrong with us first, through our Contact Us page. Most things can be sorted out quickly and directly, and we would rather hear about a problem early.
If we cannot resolve it between us, you may approach:

You are not required to exhaust these routes before going to court, and using them does not affect your legal rights.
16. General
Governing law. These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa.
Jurisdiction. You consent to the jurisdiction of the Magistrate’s Court having jurisdiction over you, even where the claim exceeds that court’s normal limits. This does not prevent us from proceeding in a higher court where appropriate.
Address for notices. You choose the physical and email address given in your application as your address for service of legal documents and notices. We choose the address published on our Contact Us page. Either of us may change this by giving written notice.
Changes. We may amend these terms from time to time by posting an updated version on this page. The version in force when you submit an application is the version that applies to that application. Please check the date at the top.
Severability. If any clause is found to be unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
Whole agreement. These terms, the Privacy Policy, and any signed agreement between us together form the whole agreement. No variation is binding unless it is in writing and signed by both of us.
Cession. We may cede or assign our rights under an agreement to a funder or third party without your consent, provided your obligations are not increased. You may not cede or assign your rights or obligations without our written consent.
Part B: Privacy Policy
1. Our commitment
Classic Car Wholesalers respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it and what rights you have. We process personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013, known as POPIA.
We want to be straightforward about one thing at the outset. A vehicle finance application requires sensitive information, including your identity number, your income and your credit status. We ask for it because a lender cannot lawfully assess affordability without it, not because we want a database. We collect what we need and no more.
2. Our Information Officer
We have an Information Officer appointed in terms of section 55 of POPIA. You can reach our Information Officer through the details on our Contact Us page. Please mark your message for the attention of the Information Officer so that it reaches the right person quickly.
Send any question, request or complaint about your personal information to the Information Officer.
3. What we collect
From the application form on our vehicle pages:
- your full name and surname
- your cellphone number
- your work number, where you provide one
- your email address
- your South African identity number
- your gross salary before deductions
- your province of residence
- whether you hold a valid South African driving licence
- whether you are blacklisted
During the application and approval process, we may also collect:
- copies of your identity document, driving licence and proof of residence
- bank statements and payslips
- employment details, including your employer’s name and your length of service
- credit bureau records, including your credit score, payment profile, judgments and any debt review status
- details of your existing financial commitments
- next of kin or reference contact details
- your delivery address
- your insurance details and policy number
- banking details for debit order collection
Automatically, when you visit the website:
- your IP address
- browser type and device information
- the pages you viewed and how long you stayed
- the site that referred you to us
- cookie data as described in section 12
4. How we collect it
Mostly from you directly, through the application form, by email, by telephone, by WhatsApp, or in person.
We also collect information about you from credit bureaux, from employers or references where you have authorised us to make contact, from banks and funders processing your application, and from fraud prevention databases.
5. Why we process your information and the lawful basis for it
To assess and process your application. This includes verifying who you are, conducting credit and affordability assessments, and submitting your application to funders. Our basis is that processing is necessary to conclude or perform a contract to which you are party, and to comply with our obligations under the National Credit Act.
To comply with the law. This includes obligations under the National Credit Act, the Financial Intelligence Centre Act 38 of 2001, the Consumer Protection Act and tax legislation. Our basis is compliance with a legal obligation.
To provide the vehicle and manage the agreement. This includes registration, licensing, delivery, insurance, collections, servicing and, where necessary, enforcement. Our basis is performance of the contract.
To communicate with you about your application, your agreement, your account and your vehicle. Our basis is performance of the contract and our legitimate interests.
To prevent fraud and manage risk. Our basis is our legitimate interests and, in places, legal obligation.
For marketing, where you have consented or where you are an existing customer. See section 14.
To improve the website and our service. Our basis is our legitimate interests. Where analytics involve cookies that are not strictly necessary, we rely on your consent.
6. Your identity number
We ask for your South African identity number because credit bureau enquiries, FICA verification and vehicle registration all require it. It is not optional for a finance application, but it is also not something we use for any other purpose.
Your identity number is stored in restricted systems, is accessible only to staff who need it for the tasks described in this policy, and is passed to third parties only where the purposes set out in section 8 require it.
7. Consent
The application form asks you to consent to us processing your personal information, including your identity number, for the purpose of applying for vehicle finance. That consent is voluntary in the sense that you can decline it, but if you do we cannot process an application, because the information is a precondition of the assessment.
You may withdraw your consent at any time by writing to our Information Officer. Withdrawal does not affect processing that already took place lawfully before you withdrew, and it does not affect processing we are required by law to continue, for example record keeping under the National Credit Act.
8. Who we share it with
We share personal information only where it is necessary, and only with the following categories of recipient:
- Credit providers, banks and funders, so that they can assess and fund your application.
- Credit bureaux, both to obtain your credit record and, where an agreement is concluded, to report on the conduct of your account as the National Credit Act requires.
- Insurers and insurance brokers, to arrange or verify the comprehensive cover required.
- Vehicle suppliers, dealers and importers, for stock allocation, registration and warranty.
- Delivery and transport contractors, for the limited purpose of getting the vehicle to you.
- Tracking device providers, where a funder requires a tracker fitted.
- Licensing and registration authorities, as the law requires.
- Attorneys, debt collectors and courts, where an account is in default and enforcement becomes necessary.
- Our service providers, including hosting, email, CRM, IT support and accounting providers, who process information on our instruction only.
- Regulators and law enforcement, where we are legally obliged to disclose.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Every operator we appoint is required by written agreement to keep your information confidential, to process it only on our instruction, and to apply appropriate security measures, as section 21 of POPIA requires.
If you want to know which specific bureau, funder or insurer received your information in connection with your own application, ask our Information Officer and we will tell you.
9. Sending information outside South Africa
Some of our service providers, particularly cloud hosting, email and website analytics providers, may store or process information on servers outside South Africa.
Where that happens, we transfer information only in line with section 72 of POPIA, meaning the recipient is subject to a law, binding agreement or corporate rules providing an adequate level of protection, or the transfer is necessary to perform our contract with you, or you have consented.
10. How we protect it
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to safeguard your information, including encrypted transmission of data submitted through this website, access controls limiting who can view sensitive records, password protection and authentication on our systems, secure storage of physical documents, confidentiality obligations on staff, and regular review of our security practices.
No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. What we can commit to is that if a security compromise affects your personal information, we will notify you and the Information Regulator as soon as reasonably possible, as section 22 of POPIA requires, and we will tell you what happened and what you should do about it.
11. How long we keep it
Unsuccessful applications are kept for twelve months and then deleted or anonymised, unless you ask us to keep your details on file for a future application.
Concluded agreements are kept for at least five years after the agreement terminates, as the National Credit Act and the Financial Intelligence Centre Act require, and for longer where a dispute, claim or investigation is running.
Marketing records are kept until you opt out, after which we keep a suppression record so that we do not contact you again by mistake.
Website analytics are kept for up to twenty six months.
When a retention period ends, we securely destroy or anonymise the information.
12. Cookies
This website uses cookies, which are small text files stored on your device.
Strictly necessary cookies keep the site working, including form functionality and security. These cannot be switched off.
Analytics cookies help us understand which pages people visit and how they found us, so that we can improve the site.
Marketing cookies, where used, help us measure the performance of advertising and show relevant adverts on other platforms.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site, including the application form, from working properly.
13. Automated decision making
Credit and affordability assessments may involve automated scoring by credit providers or bureaux. Section 71 of POPIA gives you the right not to be subject to a decision with legal consequences based solely on automated processing, unless the processing is necessary for concluding or performing a contract and appropriate safeguards are in place.
Where an application is declined, you may ask for the decision to be reviewed by a person, and you may ask for the reasons and for the name of the credit bureau whose information was used.
14. Marketing
We will send you marketing about vehicles, finance offers and promotions only where you have consented, or where you are an existing customer and the marketing relates to similar products.
Every marketing message will identify us and will give you a simple way to opt out. You can also opt out at any time by writing to us with the word “unsubscribe”, or by replying STOP to an SMS.
Under section 69 of POPIA we may approach you for consent to direct marketing only once, unless you have given it. Under section 11 of the Consumer Protection Act you may also register a block on direct marketing through the National Opt Out Register.
Opting out of marketing does not stop us sending you operational messages about your application, your account or your vehicle.
15. Your rights
Under POPIA and the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000, you have the right to:
- be told whether we hold personal information about you, and to be given access to it
- ask us to correct or delete information that is inaccurate, irrelevant, excessive, out of date, incomplete, misleading or unlawfully obtained
- object to processing based on legitimate interests, on reasonable grounds
- object to direct marketing at any time
- withdraw consent, subject to section 7 above
- ask that we delete a record we are no longer authorised to keep
- lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator
- not be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, as described in section 13
To exercise any of these rights, contact our Information Officer. Requests for access are handled under our PAIA manual using Form 2, and objections are lodged on Form 1 in terms of the POPIA regulations. We will respond within the periods the law requires, and we will verify your identity first so that we are not handing your information to somebody else.
An access request may attract a prescribed fee. Correcting information and objecting are free.
16. Children
This website is not aimed at people under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information about children. If you believe we hold information about a child, please tell our Information Officer and we will delete it.
17. Complaining to the Regulator
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your personal information, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa. Complaints are lodged on Form 5. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first, but you are not obliged to come to us before approaching the Regulator.

18. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our processes or the law change. The current version will always appear on this page with the date it was last updated at the top. Where a change materially affects how we use your information, we will tell you directly.
Classic Car Wholesalers is committed to responsible lending. All vehicle finance applications are subject to credit approval, lender criteria and affordability assessment in accordance with the National Credit Act 34 of 2005.
